General Meeting #3

Review and outlook - General Meeting 2025

The third Annual General Meeting took place on 14 May 2025 at the ZHAW in Zurich. The event was characterised by an inspiring exchange, strategic decisions and numerous impulses for the further development of building simulation in Switzerland.

Review of activities and successes

A key highlight of the past year was the first Member event on 25 November 2024, included Tour of Empa's NEST building with 34 participants. The concept of specialist presentations, guided tours and networking was consistently rated positively and will be continued in 2025. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Then please get in touch with us!

The introduction of new Marketing material (brochure, key fob, business cards) by the graphic design office FELIX PARTNER underlines the professionalisation of the appearance.

With the publication of regular Success Stories A new format has been established on LinkedIn that has met with a great response. The aim is to one project example per month We are always on the lookout for project examples.

New members

Five companies were accepted as new members:
Amenti AG, Zero Edition, Gartenmann Engineering AG, Willers, BOP | Building Optimisation Platform. There were also several new personal memberships.

Quality assurance and services

The focus is on expanding quality assurance with a clear structure:
A coordinator is appointed for each subject area to act as a point of contact between expert teams, the Executive Board and external enquiries. Collaboration takes place via Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

The QSSIM research project is working on clear criteria for simulations of summer heat insulation, high summer temperatures, air conditioning cooling requirements / energy requirements. The results are documented in a catalogue of criteria and a sample report.

At the same time, we are currently examining whether and in what form GSS services can be offered - for example in the areas of tender consulting, independent bid comparison and quality checks of simulation reports.

List of experts

From 41 applications received are 21 completed, 13 in progress. The evaluation takes place in a three-stage process with a review by the panel of experts. As a member, you can now register directly on the website at Become an expert - Swiss Building Simulation Association apply.

Market survey

A comprehensive market survey was conducted in January and February 2025. The members are in favour of a shortened annual repetition in order to enable continuous and comparable market observation in the future.
